United Airlines are scrapping change fees for most of their fares starting immediately and forever. This applies to tickets purchased from 1st April 2020. All of the other major U.S. Airlines are expected to follow. Whilst any fare difference would be payable, this means you can purchase a ticket for the future and not face any change fees if you need to make adjustments to your itinerary.
